RED808 V2: two boards, one musical state

The new architecture puts the interface and sequencer on P4 and dedicates Daisy to audio, linked by USB-C.

Decisions and development

V2 moves beyond the first generation's ESP32-S3 and Wi-Fi interface. P4 handles the display, patterns, MIDI and USB host; DaisyPod3 combines sampling, synthesis and effects. BANK4 adds four contextual rotary controls and fader-based bank selection while retaining touch access.

Protocol 2.4 verifies complete patterns with a checksum and activates them at an audio-block boundary. Incomplete transfers preserve the previous pattern. The review fixes ratchets, per-track swing and duplicate pad triggers, and moves saving outside the LVGL callback.

Update documented on 25 September: separate stereo processing for chorus, phaser and autowah, corrected bit reduction and a fractional accumulator for SRATE. Cutoff is displayed in Hz and resonance in Q. Builds are recorded; actual CPU load still needs measurement on the board.
